Universal Studios Orlando - Halloween Horror Nights
Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights was voted the #1 Halloween amusement park attraction in the country for 2008, and the title is well deserved. Want to be scared out of your mind this Halloween? Head to Universal Studios in Orlando this October for Halloween Horror Nights. The park is transformed each night into a maze of haunted houses and scary shows, with all of your favorite rides still operating, in case you need a break from the scares.
The main haunted house is called Reflections of Fear, and this year’s theme is Bloody Mary. Mary is a psychologist who believes that the way to cure patients of their deepest fears is to force them to experience them over and over until they are no longer afraid. In this house, Mary’s greatest fear is death, and she can only overcome this fear by killing people over and over. Spooky.
Another cool attraction is Scary Tales - Once Upon a Nightmare. This haunted house features scenes from your favorite fairy tales, with a twist. The prince doesn’t make it in time to save the princess….
A similar attraction features tales from the Brothers Grimm. I’m surprised no one has thought of putting these twisted tales to like before. They’re the perfect material for haunted houses.
Then there’s Asylum in Wonderland. A spooky attraction based loosely on Alice in Wonderland, with lots of 3-D and strobe lights, with plenty of scares too.
Finally there’s The Path of The Wicked, a haunted trail type attraction with a slight Wizard of Oz feel. Watch out for flying monkeys!
Don’t forget classic scares like Jaws and the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster while you’re busy running out of the haunted houses!
Universal Studios offers lots of discount tickets for Halloween, so you’re sure to get a good deal on the scares!
