Universal Studios Hotels - Orlando, Florida

So you’ve checked out some of the hotel options near the park and you’re convinced that staying onsite is completely worth the cost. Now which of the three Universal Resort hotels do you choose?

There’s the 4 star Royal Pacific Hotel with its tropical island theme, the most affordable of the three. There’s also Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel. At 4.5 stars, this is the mid-priced option, and also the most popular. Finally, there’s the Portofino Bay Resort. This 5 star hotel is the most luxurious, but also the most expensive.

All three of these resorts offer top-notch service, spectacular pools, and proximity to the parks. From each of these hotels, you can easily walk to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, or CityWalk. There’s also the option to take a ferry across the gorgeous lake on the property, which deposits you at the entrance to the attractions on the other side.

If you want privacy and a bit of quiet, Portofino Bay is the way to go. The resort is spectacularly themed to resemble Portofino, Italy, and features waterfront rooms, incredible Italian restaurants, and nightly fireworks and shows.

The younger crowd may want to stick with the Hard Rock Hotel. With it’s rock and roll atmosphere, it feels like the party never stops here (seriously, you can find something going on even in the middle of the night, no matter what your tastes). There’s great food, live music venues, and a pool that’s huge and unique, just like the pools at other Hard Rock hotels across the world.

Families may prefer the Royal Pacific. Not only is it the most affordable option at Universal, it features arguably the coolest pool, themed like a tropical lagoon. The hotel also offers the Mariner’s Club for kids, so mom and dad can take a break of their own. Make sure not to miss the traditional luau!

Whichever one you choose, don’t forget the best part of all! Guests who stay on site get to skip the regular lines at the parks!
